Welcome to this edition of our tech bytes Feb 2023. In this issue, we'll be exploring the latest developments in the world of AI, with a focus on OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s BardAI, Snapchat’s MyAI and Meta’s future plans in AI technology.
ChatGPT is a popular AI language model developed by OpenAI that automates tasks and improves productivity. Try ChatGPT for yourself by clicking this link.
When a start-up like OpenAI released a groundbreaking technology, it didn't go unnoticed by big companies like Microsoft and Google. In response, Google made a decision to announce their own version of the technology called BARD, whichwas semi-trained and produced inaccurate results during a press tour, which caused Google's stock price to tumble. In contrast, Microsoft made a more significant move by investing $1 billion in OpenAI and integrating Chat-GPT into their search engine, Bing.
"My AI" is a Snapchat feature that generates personalized Bitmoji stickers and filters based on the user's facial expressions and movements. Only available to Snapchat+ membersthough, but learn more at this link.
Meta is developing generative AI tools for creating content and interacting with people in a more human-like manner. They claim to build creative and expressive tools like automated video editing and generative music creation soon.
